Detailed Description

  • Long-acting glucocorticoid. Goal is to find the lowest dose possible and use for the shortest period of time. Do not discontinue this medicine without first talking with your veterinarian.
  • May be given with (preferred) or without food. If your animal vomits or acts sick after receiving the medication on an empty stomach, give with food or small treat to see if this helps. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian.
  • Many side effects are possible, especially with long-term use.
  • In dogs, stomach or intestinal ulcers, perforation, and/or bleeding can occur. If your dog stops eating or you notice a high fever, black tarry stools, or bloody vomit, contact your veterinarian right away.
